Google Logo Kerning

How closely have you observed the Google logo? If not then we have got something to tell you. Google for the first time had an amendment made in the existing logo. The change is so minute that it cannot be noticed at a conscious level.

The kerning has taken place!

A designer spotted the lazy kerning issue in Google logo. The ‘l’ and the ‘e’ were not found aligned at the bottom and to correct this, logo had to suffer a very slight tweak. Letters in the logo were adjusted so keenly that the correction did not appear as a transformation, but somehow this tweak certainly made a huge difference to perfection! Proper spacing can really make a difference on how clean and finished does your lettering look and this requires perfection to make up to the acceptable level.

‘Rush’ Live or Die to reach the Sky

I am an F1 lover and have always heard the famous incident that took place in 1976. Yes, ‘1976’ year that has registered its place in the history of Formula One racing. On August 1, 1976 like a routine all the drivers were set to compete on the track and the race begins. No one ever thought that an accident would occur out of competition. During the 2nd lap at the very fast left kink before Bergwerk, Niki Lauda's Ferrari swerved off the track, due to a suspected rear suspension failure, hit an embankment and rolled back into the path. Niki Lauda’s Ferrari burst into flames. This fatal incident shook everyone. But the strong will power & passion of Lauda towards F1 remained alive and he was on track just six weeks (two races) later. A three time winner of F1 World Championship, Niki Lauda inspires me a lot and now, a movie RUSH on this real life incident is soon going to hit the box office.

I am eagerly waiting to experience the RUSH in my nerves. This story is all about the competition and relationship between Niki Lauda & James Hunt, the two famous F1 stars from Australia & Britain. Cant wait to watch the movie on 20th September when it releases!

The Titanic Disaster of Indian Rupee

So what if the economy is as bad as Shraddha Kapoor’s acting, there is always hope… for the economy—not for Shraddha though, sorry doll. But right now it’s all going downhill, Rupee has fallen farther than SRK’s movie scripts, Rupee has fallen further than Akshay Kumar’s comedy, Rupee has fallen to the point where it has all of us worried whether the ‘Idli Wada Sambar’ will get more expensive and we’ll have to eat cheaper items like ‘Mice and worms’.

Although I did hear that last week the Rupee had some fluctuations. The rise and fall of rupee last week could be compared to Pamela Anderson’s…err…career.
As usual the government is doing all it can to stop this snow ball from rolling down hill. In fact just the other day they did something unimaginable! They made Dr. Manmohan Singh….Speak!!!! (gasp!). You know these are drastic times, when our PM actually gets to speak about something. He mentioned to the country that the economy is bad, which is like saying that a volcano eruption is just Mother Nature sneezing. The speech had an unusual ending though, because it didn’t end it with the usual “thik hai?”

This rupee problem has us middle class people worried, the beggars however are very happy. I bet they all sit in the night together huddled over a warm fire made by burning newspapers and middle-class people tax money, and discuss, “saala, chaar rupaye aur milte toh ek Ameriki dollar ban jata”.
It turns out that even the rich have a problem with the dollar price increase, they are not pleased with the way government is handling the issue. Now thanks to the difference between Rupee and Dollar, the rich class has to pay an extra two-three hundred rupees to get a diamond studded; platinum plated, sapphire glass covered IPhone 5! And don’t even get me started on the price of accessories for the phone! This drastic fall of the rupee can only be classified as a catastrophe.  And of course as it is with all natural disasters and calamities there are always these random “experts” spawning like Frogs in rainy season, and coincidentally they also make the same amount of noise.

Natural Calamity: Disaster or Opportunity

Whole nation is in shock because of the Uttarakhand Calamity where thousands of people died and lot many are still missing. Media is providing out of the way coverage to this calamity. In fact reporters and photographers are risking their lives to give coverage and broadcast this complete disaster. At times seeing a view on television stops the heartbeat for a while. But it is an opportunity for many. There are some professions in which one gets the opportunity only with the sufferings of others. Doctors when pray for their good business, indirectly they are making a prayer for the others’ suffering. Similarly, Media earns a lot during the time of calamities as they get attention of one and all in the country.

What’s there in your Heart?

On this World Heart Day explore, think and analyze what’s there in your heart and get to know the reasons behind every ‘what, why, where, who, which and how’ about yourself. All answers about yourself are hidden deep inside your heart. Knowing & ruling heart is the only way to achieve salvation.

My years of experience has taught me that big decisions of life are usually made by heart. Even if we think that Brain is playing the major role, the reality is, Heart is influencing, motivating and inspiring the Brain directly-indirectly at every point of time. Infact, brain thinks as per the feelings of heart. Whether its about Ram or Ravan, Krishna or Kansa, their personality reflects their heart or we can say their heart is truly visible in their deeds and personality. Often we complain about situations and conditions for our bad behavior, lies, evil practices, wrong doings, corrupt acts, etc. but have you ever noticed that Ram and Krishna also faced too many adverse situations.

5 Tips to Write an Impressive Blog

Writing a blog is in fashion these days. Every single person whether a student, professional, oldie or a housewife has a blog to express his/ her thoughts & skills. BlogSpot, Tumbler & Word press are the most common platforms for writing a blog and getting a presence in search engine. It is good to write a blog but few things are to be remembered, if you are writing not just to ‘Express’ but to ‘Impress’.
Following are the top 5 tips for a naïve writer to write an impressive blog –

1 Language – Always prefer a language you are comfortable in. It is not compulsory to use English for creating an impression. If language is used poorly then it leaves a bad impact. Don’t let it happen with you. Make sure to use language as per your comfort. For instance, if you are comfortable in Hinglish then there is no harm in using it. Just be sure that you present your thoughts impressively in your preferred language and your words create an everlasting impact on the minds of the readers. Avoid grammatical errors in every possible way. Don’t use random words from thesaurus and substitute them just to make your blog decorative. As in all possibility these words might not be suitable in the particular sentence. Always be precautious while using a new word and don’t forget to check its proper usage.

1 Story – Try to weave a story while presenting your thoughts, it helps to keep the reader engaged till the end. Stories are always fascinating and help in building the interest and suspense. When you master the art of writing short stories in your blog, you will certainly catch & retain the good audience for your blog.
