School and colleges can be considered a sacred place, as education and knowledge is imparted here. This is a very common notion shared by most of the people all around the world. But with the time, trends and mindsets regarding education have changed as new heights are set to achieve and new inputs are embedded unfolding latent sides and effects of good education. Now education is no longer restricted to the bounded books curriculum but the canvas of good education is very huge and it’s painted with extracurricular activities and series of other personality and social building activities.

Be the education in school, colleges it’s all about holistic development. The most important attribute these days is building an optimistic individual with the confidence of doing different things and doing it differently. In the process of polishing these latent talents usually students and even the teachers discovers new avenues in them. The world is changing with lighting speed and its implication on Education and educators are far more than expected.

The responsibility of educators is enormous as they have to prepare future of any country. An educator not only polishes the skills but is also responsible for making responsible social beings for the welfare of the country and society. It may sound philosophical but only if individuals are educated and literate, they are able to distinguish between right and wrong and also know their rights and duties. Moreover, being literate is a major necessity in the present era to survive without being manipulated and deceived. Thus, again this elucidates the importance of being literate and educated.

There are three things which education provides firstly ‘Training’ to gain knowledge and develop skills and polish the existing skills in order to make individuals self sufficient and reliable. Secondly, ‘Social Purpose’ to integrate students and build in them a sense of social responsibility so they live with ethical and moral standards. Thirdly, ‘Cultural Purpose’ i.e. to make students know their own land its values, heritage and culture not only in history books but also in terms of gradual development of various code and abolishment of others.

Hence, the importance of education has never been ignored, even ages back India had schools like Takshila and Nalanda where learned men came from all over. And now there are prestigious institute for formal management degrees and many vocational institutes providing courses like Fashion Designing, Multimedia, and InteriorDesigning. Even if its degree oriented courses pertains to training, the extracurricular courses are set for social and cultural purpose.
